One of the requirements the Idaho Assistive Technology Project must fulfill in accordance with the Assistive Technology Act of 2004 is to complete a "State Plan." The State Plan gives an overview of activities the Project will complete during a three year timeframe. The IATP was funded under authority of the AT Act in 1992. Since then, the IATP has been a leader in our state for promoting access to and acquisition of AT among Idahoans with disabilities and their families. The IATP is an integral part of a larger effort in our state (and nationwide) to ensure that individuals with disabilities achieve their educational goals, gain meaningful employment, reach full community participation, and have equal access to information technology.
